Chameleon Assassin is out to readers!
and a blog tour announcement
My new novel, Chameleon Assassin, is now available on Amazon. This is the first speculative fiction book I’ve released since I finished book 5 in The Telepathic Clans Saga two years ago, and I’m very excited by it.
The digital copy of the book went live today, Tuesday, Dec. 13. The special new release price is 99 cents and is good until Christmas Eve.
If you have readers on your gift list this holiday season, you can get them a paperback copy of the book.
The book is set two hundred years in the future, but written like an Urban Fantasy novel. It has elements of post-apocalyptic, dystopian, and science fiction.
For those who liked Brenna, Rebecca, Rhiannon, and all the other characters in the Telepathic Clans books, I think you’ll enjoy meeting Libby Nelson, the hero/anti-hero in the new series.
Oh, yeah. Series. The second book, Chameleon Uncovered, is about half written. I expect to release it mid-to-late winter, 2017.
Here’s what the new book is about:
Libby is a mutant, one of the top burglars and assassins in the world. For a price, she caters to executives’ secret desires. Eliminate your corporate rival? Deliver a priceless art masterpiece or necklace? Hack into another corporation’s network? Libby’s your girl.
Climate change met nuclear war, and humanity lost. The corporations stepped in, stripping governments of power. Civilization didn’t end, but it became less civilized. There are few rules as corporations jockey for position and control of assets and markets.
In the year 2200, the world has barely recovered the level of technology that existed before the ice melted and the subsequent wars. Corporate elites live in their walled estates and skyscraper apartments while the majority of humanity supplies their luxuries. On the bottom level, the mutants, the poor, and the criminals scramble every day just to survive.
But even paradise has its problems. A new drug is killing the elite’s sons and daughters, so the Chamber of Commerce hires Libby to find the source. With millions on the line and the bodies piling up, and she finds herself caught between the corporations and the mob.
A number of blogs are spotlighting the book. Please stop by and leave a comment. I really appreciate all your support!
